It was because everybody working on it thought they were done and left the city when in fact we only had the TV version done, not the actual cover itself. I had the pleasure or so to have worked on one of the episodes of American Idol in the past and I somehow ended up co-producing and co-mixing a song for a contestant not because I was supposed to. I don’t know if I am the “authority”, but I can say I have been in the entertainment Industry for 17 plus years. Thank you so much for doing this with us! Can you briefly share with our readers why you are an authority about the topic of thought leadership? His transition into the sports world eventually led him to partnering up with SWISH Founder Jason Vu where he currently manages high level partnerships with some of the NBA’s top teams. When he and co-Founder Matt Oliver went on to launch music/sports marketing and PR firm 18Thirty2, their partnership proved to be a seamless culmination of both of their strengths. Later, he would find a new management creative firm where he would develop clients like Shawn Wasabi and Hollis. This company model led to Kelvin becoming one of the principals as well as Executive Producer to the 2017 Inaugural Electronic Music Awards in Downtown LA. Following his work with Interscope and Cherrytree, Kelvin co-founded an artist management and business development start-up called Hunt & Crest to help develop artists like Paul Okenfold and Latin Grammy Award-winning mariachi band Flor de Toloache.
Specializing in everything from stage production to tour management and brand consultation, his guidance contributed to the success of notable acts like Far East Movement, Lloyd and many more. While under the mentorship of industry veteran Martin Kierszenbum, he gained experience in start-up label culture, providing a perfect application to his work with SWISH AUTHENTICS today. Beginning his career in A&R Admin with Interscope Records, Kelvin’s obsession with culture and new music eventually transitioned him into working fulltime as an A&R/Artist Manager with Interscope & Cherrytree Music Company (Sting, Shaggy, etc). As an entertainment industry veteran, Kelvin brings a unique set of experiences to the table in the form of marketing, management and extensive work in merchandising for artists across the globe.
